Wig Buying Guide: Lace, Color, Texture & Length

Use this guide to choose the right BONANZA human hair wig before you order. The most important decisions are lace area, lace type, color, texture, length, and how much daily styling you want.

1. Choose the Lace Area

13x4 Lace Front Wigs

A 13x4 lace front wig gives a natural-looking front hairline with practical parting space. The lace usually runs 13 inches across the front and 4 inches back from the hairline. Choose 13x4 if you want a strong balance of natural appearance, easier maintenance, and everyday value.

13x6 HD Lace Wigs

A 13x6 lace wig gives deeper front-to-back parting space than 13x4. It is better for customers who want more flexible middle parts, side parts, and front styling. HD lace is thinner and can blend more softly, but it should be handled gently because it is more delicate than standard lace.

Lace Preparation & Glueless Wigs

Check the preparation details on the individual product page. The standard Natural Black Short Curly Bob is supplied with factory-pre-cut lace and does not require customer trimming. Wigs described as supplied with uncut lace require trimming before wearing. Glueless describes the wearing method; it does not by itself mean that the lace is pre-cut. Inspect the wig before wearing, cutting or altering it.

Contact us within 30 calendar days of delivery for an eligible return. The wig must remain in its original supplied condition: unused, unworn, unwashed and unaltered, with its original packaging, tags and accessories. Uncut lace must remain uncut; factory-pre-cut lace must not be trimmed further. Opening the packaging solely for inspection does not by itself affect eligibility. 2. Choose the Color

Natural Black / 1B

Natural black and 1B-style shades are classic, wearable, and easy to match with everyday looks. Choose this if you want a polished daily wig that is not too bold.

613 Blonde

613 blonde is a bright blonde shade. It is bold, photo-friendly, and can be professionally toned. Blonde hair needs more careful care than darker shades, especially when washing or heat styling.

1B/27, Honey Brown & Piano Highlights

Highlight wigs add dimension and warmth without going fully blonde. 1B/27 and honey brown highlights are good choices when you want brightness around the face while keeping a darker base. Piano highlights create stronger contrast and a more visible color pattern.

3. Choose the Texture

  • Straight: sleek, polished, easy to style, and visually longer at the same listed length.
  • Water wave: soft movement and natural volume; looser than deep wave.
  • Deep wave: stronger wave definition and fuller texture.
  • Curly: fullest volume and most texture; needs gentle detangling and moisture.
  • Bob: lighter, shorter, and easier for daily wear.

4. Choose the Length

Length is measured when the hair is stretched. Curly and wave textures usually look shorter than straight hair at the same listed length because the pattern creates shrinkage. Choose shorter lengths for lighter wear and easier daily maintenance. Choose longer lengths for a fuller, more dramatic look.

5. Care Tips

  • Detangle gently from ends to roots.
  • Use a light leave-in conditioner for wave and curly textures.
  • Use heat protectant before hot tools.
  • Handle HD lace gently and avoid pulling hard on the lace.
  • Store the wig on a stand when not in use to maintain the shape.

6. Quick Recommendation

  • Best everyday choice: Natural black 13x4 lace front wig.
  • Best natural hairline choice: Zero-Trace or 13x6 HD lace wig.
  • Glueless bob option: The standard Natural Black Short Curly Bob has factory-pre-cut lace; no customer trimming is required. Check the individual product page for other bob styles.
  • Best bold color: 613 blonde or piano highlight wig.
  • Best soft texture: Water wave wig.
