Compare Lace Coverage Before You Choose

Lace size describes the lace section of a wig, not the cap circumference or the hair length. Compare the width and front-to-back depth, then check the options available for the exact wig you want.

Read the Size as Width x Depth

The first number is the width; the second is the depth from the front hairline toward the back. For a 13-inch frontal, the width follows the front hairline from ear to ear. These labels are nominal dimensions, not measurements of your head.

2 x 6 closure
2 inches wide and 6 inches deep: a narrow, deeper central lace section.
4 x 4 closure
4 inches wide and 4 inches deep: a central section that is wider and less deep than 2 x 6.
5 x 5 closure
5 inches wide and 5 inches deep: wider and deeper than a 4 x 4 closure.
13 x 4 frontal
13 inches ear to ear along the front hairline and 4 inches deep.
13 x 6 frontal
The same nominal 13-inch ear-to-ear width, with 6 inches of front-to-back depth.

The rear edge can curve where the lace joins the cap. Do not treat width multiplied by depth as the measured area of a shaped lace piece. Confirm the actual construction of your selected wig when specific parting space matters.

Choose the Options Listed for Your Wig

The five sizes above explain different lace layouts; they are not five purchase options for every BONANZA wig. The Natural Black Short Curly Bob currently lists two Lace Type options: 5*5HD and 13*4HD. Requests for a different lace area are separate from those listed options and need confirmation before ordering.

Lace Size Is Different from Lace Preparation

A size label does not tell you whether the lace is pre-cut. The standard Natural Black Short Curly Bob is listed with factory-pre-cut lace. Check the preparation details on the exact product page before ordering another style; do not assume every wig arrives with the same preparation.

HD Lace Is Not a Cap Size

Keep the lace label, lace dimensions and cap fit separate when choosing. A larger lace area does not establish a larger cap, and an adjustable cap does not establish that it fits every head. Confirm the cap range and the construction of the selected option if fit or styling space is important to you.
